Is China buying is way in Latin America?
By Byron A. Ellis – March 27, 2011

According to La Nación, China will donate $30 million dollars for the construction of a police academy in Costa Rica.

The Costa Rica president, Laura Chinchilla, revealed the donation after a meeting with China’s Parliament vice president, Chen Changzhi.

La Nación notes that Changzhi is the highest Chinese official to attend the inauguration of the $80 million dollars plus soccer stadium donated to Costa Rica by China.

Changzhi also visited the Costa Rican National Assembly and invited and invited the president of the Legislative Assembly, Luis Villanueva, and the interim president, Mireya Zamora, to visit China.

If the United States continues to discount Latin America, it will fail as a viable trading partner.
