Mr. Cain should follow his own advice
By Byron A. Ellis – November 07, 2011

Herman Cain on an October 5 video with the Wall Street Journal said “Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks. If you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself.” Today Mr. Cain blames the media for the sexual harassment charges levied against him.

Mr. Cain should follow his own advice: Don’t blame the harassed women; don’t blame the big media. If you’ve been accused of harassment, blame yourself.

On Saturday, the Republican Presidential candidate vowed not to answer any more questions regarding  sexual harassment allegations and blamed journalists for the claims that has put his presidential campaign in jeopardy.

Mr. Cain is a typical Republican, they blame others but never self. For many Republicans anyone that does not adhere to, or questions, their views is either dishonest or foolish.

Mr. Cain, who has been accused of harassing three women, claims that the media is dishonest.

Republicans claimed that Mr. Clinton was unfit for office, because of his sexual exploits. However, on Sunday, Liz Cheney, a Republican strategist, said that Cain’s sexual scandal "is not the issue that's going to decide the election."

It is clear that Republican morality is mere expediency. Moreover, they place no value on women. Thus, they will do and say anything to defeat Mr. Obama, even obstruct economic growth and jobs  for Americans.

Bachman, Perry and Cain’s rise in the Republican Party reflects lack of GOP’s capacity. They rose without delineating what they would do to solve the economic crisis that confronts the United States; their campaigns is all about making Mr. Obama a one term President.

It is troublesome when a potential Presidential candidate accused of sexual harassment refuses to provide transparency on settled, paid for, harassment allegations and constantly claims memory lapses.

Mr. Cain should adhere to his own advice, and not his blame the accusers or the media, and blame himself.
