It is interesting to observe the mainstreaming of unnatural behaviors, which should make us recall Jesus’ prophetic words (Luke 17:28-30). Jesus tells us that in the day the Son of Man is revealed it would be like the days of Lot. In the days of Lot unnatural behaviors were also in the mainstream of Sodom and Gomorra. In Genesis 19, when the two angels arrived at Sodom, Lot invited them to his house. However, before they when to bed, all the men from every part of Sodom surrounded Lot’s house and called on Lot to bring the men out to them so they could have unnatural relations with them. Lot admonished them not to do this wicked thing and offered his two daughters instead, who have never slept with a man. But the men of Sodom wanted nothing to do with Lot’s daughters, rather they attempted to breakdown the door to get to the men in the house. Thus, we’re being forewarned of the aggressiveness that prevailed in the days of Lot and that those days will come again. Moreover, Jesus, in Luke 17:32, tells us “On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.” He further reminds us of the outcome that befell Lot’s wife; she looked back and became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26). Genesis 19:24 tells us that from out of the heavens the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorra. How could Jesus know over two thousand years ago that unnatural behavior would again become mainstream as it was in Sodom and Gomorra? Skeptics would claim that it is a mere coincidence, but believers know who Jesus is. Therefore, supporters of unnatural behaviors should take heed and reassess the outcome of Sodom and Gomorra, as well as the fate of Lot’s wife. Surely, we are being warned that unnatural behavior is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22) and contributing to it will be to our detriment. Post Comment
