Human Hypocrisy: Targeting Michael Vick
By Byron A. Ellis – August 17, 2009

The news media and some in the public claim that Michael Vick should not be allowed in the NFL because he was a participant in dog fighting and killings.

Many of these individuals targeting Vick for mistreating and killing dogs eat meat from animals that have been tortured and killed. However, we do not see them protecting cows, chickens, fish and other animals that end up as human food.

Likewise, we do not see these individuals protesting the participation of individuals in international human fighting and killings. It would seem from their emphasis on protecting dogs that the protection of humans from slaughter and killing in wars is of less of a concern.

Protesting and holding accountable leaders that contribute to the inhumane conditions and the wanton slaughtering of human lives around the world would be a more noble cause to pursue.
